“Sparkle”

We choke on the smoke
It chars our white flesh
Sears our marble eye
Blackens our dread pupil
How we long to kill you!

Little sun sparkle
Strangled by creeping red vines
Slithering through Olympus eyes
Slashing marble steps
Splashing ancient black blood

Little sun sparkle
Spying grey fields
Ample white wheat
Shrieking as heavy smoke
Greys black skies

We slurp the dry smoke of clouds
Hooked by raven black vipers
Whose fangs hook our butter wrists
Begging their gentle slicing flames
To carve out our colors
