Kaitlyn Romero moved to Ascension in 5th grade. One of her favorite memories is beating Episcopal of Baton Rouge in softball to advance to the second round of playoffs for the very first time in school history. Softball has played a very large role in Kaitlyn’s life, and she is currently serving as the team captain on the softball team here at Ascension and has played travel softball in the fall and summer since she was ten.

Kaitlyn loves Ascension because it “gives her opportunities in every aspect of high school.” One of Kaitlyn’s favorite things about Ascension is the community; she loves that she has the ability to create friendships with everyone in her grade. Kaitlyn also enjoyed junior trip. It was a great way to get to know her classmates more and make unforgettable memories.

As Kaitlyn enters her last semester in high school and her time at Ascension comes to an end, she is trying to take it all in and enjoy her last few months here. Kaitlyn encourages all underclassmen to get to know others in your class and “appreciate everyone around you.”
