Emma Gautreau is well known in Ascension’s arts department as a triple threat. She does everything: she can play multiple instruments including the violin and piano, she sings in choir, and she is involved with theater at Ascension as well as Christian Youth Theater (CYT). For violin, she has played with ASYO, ASO, and ULL Orchestra. She has been in choir and participated in theater for all of her high school years. If all of that isn’t impressive enough, she also taught herself how to embroider, cooks in her free time, and participates in Younglife. She also works at a snow cone stand. A really interesting fact about Emma is that she was part of a Soundcloud rapper’s band her sophomore year! She says that she loves Ascension because of “the small classes and the relationships that I have made with my teachers. I also love the little traditions that Ascension has.”
