“Some of the most monumental moments in my life have and continue to revolve around equestrian life. Not only has riding enriched my identity but being emerged in all things horses such as helping out around the barn, brushing and tacking up horses, working barn birthday parties, giving beginner lessons, and spending time with my barn friends has played a huge part in the kind of person I strive to become. I have learned selflessness from my current trainer, Trish Rabalais, who has been like a second mother to me. Through her example, I have learned the meaning of what Albert Einstein once said, ‘Only a life lived for others is a life worth living.’ Struggling with anxiety and depression it has been difficult for me to enjoy the many things in life I have been blessed with, but being exposed to the humbling equestrian atmosphere has assisted me to cherish the opportunities I have been given. I have found that the presence of horses and equestrian competition in my life has motivated and inspired me to be positive in everything that I do.” This is an excerpt from an essay Olivia had to submit to be considered a year-round equestrian sportsmanship award. Olivia has gained confidence while riding horses because it has helped her feel empowered and find her discipline.

Besides horseback riding, Olivia enjoys staying home and spend time with her family. Her biggest role model is her dad because he’s always inspired her to be a better person and to accomplish her goals. Besides her family, Olivia also loves her three cats. She says she takes them in because “they just show up.” Olivia is described as a very empathetic person who would do anything for her friends. Olivia is the 2020 Troubadours Mardi Gras Krewe Queen Berengaria of Navarre LXVIII. Olivia is a queen and she never lets her crown fall from her head.
