Favorite Ascension Memory: winning the football state championship in 2016

Future Plans: Attend UL and major in Business Administration

Kade Thomas Guillory has played football at Ascension since the fifth grade, and he’s been a starter on Varsity since sophomore year. When I asked Kade of his favorite memory he, unsurprisingly, responded with, “Winning the 2016 State Championship was for sure my favorite memory, both for football and as an Ascension student.” For those of you who are new and may not know, Ascension faced the Southern Lab Kittens in the Superdome in New Orleans, where we suffered a heartbreaking loss. It was soon revealed that the Kittens — scary — cheated,  forfeiting the State title. Since then Kade made First Team All-District as a junior and Second Team Preseason All-Acadiana as a senior. He also received interest from Sewanee University of the South and Millsaps, while also posing for the cover of Louisiana Football Magazine. We wish this left guard and the rest of Blue Gator football good luck in this coming season.
