Favorite Teacher at Ascension: Sophia explains that Mrs. Lad is her favorite teacher because “she is really honest and has always been supportive of me.”

Future Plans: Sophia plans on attending  Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), and majoring in recording industry management with a specialization in songwriting.

Who is your favorite celebrity? Why? 

Sophia says that Audrey Hepburn is her favorite celebrity because ” she always carried herself with such class and sophistication throughout her career.”

What is one thing that many people don’t know about you? 

Sophia says many people don’t know that she is a songwriter and has been involved in music as long as she can remember. She also has  learned to play the piano, record in a studio, produce her original songs, and perform around town.

What has been your favorite memory at Ascension?

Sophia’s favorite memory at Ascension is the musicals! Sophia explains that “When I switched here my sophomore year, I auditioned for Grease my first day of school. Since then, the drama and choir people have become my closest friends and always been so welcoming to me. Over the last few years, I have also participated in Addams Family and Phantom of the Opera, which were also such amazing experiences.”

What is something that you would tell an underclassmen about being a senior?

Sophia says “Senior year goes by really fast. It will definitely teach you to appreciate the small things you have in life. Make sure to enjoy senior year and take it all in.
