This past Sunday, the girls’ basketball team had our banquet; it was at Central Pizza in Broussard! Each of the seniors– me, Ella Grace Hebert, and Gabby Ahrabi– shared a speech about what the season meant to us, and then everyone received rewards. We received our varsity letter and district awards. Coach Zach then gave a few individual awards; Gabby Ahrabi received the varsity offensive MVP award, Marlie Dardar received the varsity coaches’ award, and I received the varsity outstanding defense award. We celebrated how we were able to have a winning record, ending in an 11-9 season, and we were able to make it to the playoffs. It was nice to be all together again and celebrate our successful season! I am so glad that I joined basketball this year; it was truly the best season!
