Here are some of my tips that I’ve learned and want to share with y’all to have a successful and stress-free senior year! Hopefully this helps!
- Try to finish your college essay by the end of Junior year! By the time summer comes around and school begins, that is the last thing on your mind. If you can get your final draft done at the end of Junior year, all you have to worry about is your applications.
- Your Junior year is your last year where your grades truly matter. When colleges look at your transcript, they won’t see your Senior year because you aren’t done with it yet. It is best to strive for your highest grades leading up to Senior year.
- Don’t wait until the last minute to start your applications. To even begin, you have a whole profile section to fill out, so don’t expect to be finished applying in one sitting. Right when you have a meeting at the beginning of the year, take time, step by step, to work towards applying. You have your profile to fill out, the basics of each college, and even after you apply, there’s more to fill out.
- Over the summer leading up to Senior year, really try to soak up your last year with your friends because it will make y’all even closer by the time Senior Sunrise comes around! Friends will make your Senior year the best it can be!
- Lastly, live in the moment and do everything you can. It FLIES by, and by the time you know it, it will be time to graduate. Take every opportunity, chance to hang out with your friends, maybe meet new people, get out of your comfort zone, and more. Participate in student life games, attend as many sports games, and cherish all of your last dances. This is your last chance to experience this type of school and be with the people who have known you for years
