Rorie Williamson is ready to experience her senior year at Ascension! Rorie is an Ascension Ambassador who is a member of the HOSA, gardening, and BETA clubs and part of National Honors Society, Rho Kappa, National English Honors Society, and National Science Honors Society, and she is on the tennis team. Her favorite thing about Ascension is the teaching staff because they have pushed her to excel in everything and have challenged her to become the best version of herself. Outside of school, Rorie continues to play tennis, goes on walks, creates arts and crafts, bakes, reads, hangs out with friends, and spends time with her bird, Remi. If she had to define herself in three words, Rorie would say she is a creative, determined perfectionist. Some fun facts about Rorie are that she has an extreme love for animals, she enjoys learning random facts (especially in geography), and she continues to hold her cat, Sushi and play with her, despite her cat allergy. The advice Rorie has for younger students is that it is okay if you do not feel like you fit in while in high school because you have your entire life to find people you can connect with that care about you. She says not to get discouraged because the right people will come along eventually and it just takes time. When asked if there was anything else she wanted to say, Rorie stated that, “Despite only attending Ascension for two years, I’m still very glad that I came to Ascension and met genuinely amazing people. I am very excited for college and can’t wait to study in a profession I know I’ll love.”
