This past Sunday we started off all of the Homecoming festivities by the annual hallway decorating! Each grade is given a specific hallway. Seniors had the main hallway, Juniors had the science hallway, sophomores had the English hallway, freshmen had the math hallway, and the ochos had the art and foreign language hallway. Each grade’s leadership team comes up with a sub-genre theme to decorate the hallways that goes with the overall theme, and this year, it’s Mission Impossible! So each grade had to come up with different missions to use to decorate their hallways. The Monday morning after, certain teachers are picked, and they anonymously vote on who had the best hallway. The grading and scoring is not just on how the hallway looks, but it’s on all the decorations and handmade things that are in the hallway and how well everything went together. The student body does not find out who wins until the homecoming pep rally on Friday. Every grade also has to create a banner for the banner competition, and it has to be incorporated into the hallway and the hallway’s theme. This special event is held every Sunday before homecoming week begins, and it is a great way to work with your grade to transform the hallways to get in the homecoming spirit. Everyone did a great job this year! We are ready and excited for a great Homecoming week!
