Owen LeBlanc is a sophomore at Ascension. He is a starting linebacker on the football team, and is part of the basketball and track teams. Owen has been playing football for Ascension since 5th grade, and considers it a big part of what makes him who he is. When asked about his biggest inspirations, he mentioned his dad, Luke Curry, and Hayes Beaullieu. When asked to expand upon his dad’s effect on him, he said that he instilled a sense of hard work into him that has been invaluable in the athletic and academic career. His favorite coach is Coach Hearen, as Owen is thankful for the opportunities he has given him. Being a starter on varsity has given Owen a bigger role on the team, more chances to showcase his talent, and more room to improve in his athletic abilities.
