Charlie Milam
Grade 10
Football, Basketball, and Track
____________________________________________________________________________
Charlie Milam is a sophomore at Ascension. He has lettered in 3 sports: football, basketball, and track. When asked his favorite of the three, Milam easily says that it is football. Charlie claims that his biggest inspiration is his dad because he has taught him just about everything he has ever needed to know about life as well as academics. He goes on to say, “He has inspired me to become the best person I can be by giving back to people in need.” As far as coaches go, his most inspirational coach has been Coach Broussard because he has taught Charlie how to work hard and that in sports you “get out what you put in” which means the harder you work, the better your results will be. He has been Charlie’s position coach since freshman year and has taught him all of the qualities of a great athlete. Coach Broussard has taught Milam to always take time to himself when needed because a little TLC and a bubble bath is the best medicine.

Great story about Charlie Milam at Ascension and the people who influenced him. I can vouch for his
Dad, Brent Milam, who is my son.
I consider Brent a silent giver who gives without ever expecting any
recognition and that is the way he has always wanted it. He had that
gift of giving as a teenager and has carried that with him to this day as a father. So Blessed!
