This is one of my many fun memories of my time at Ascension. This also includes my father. 

Back when I was in middle school and elementary school, my dad (Bryan Groves) would occasionally bring me McDonald’s. He would come to school to sit and eat with me and my friends. While he was chatting with us, he would bring up the fact that we have a hippopotamus living upstairs at our house. Because we were all so young, we believed every word that he said at the time. When my friends and I would ask to see this hippo, my father would always say that it’s at a nail appointment. Many years later, I moved into the upstairs of my house. Since I live there now, I decided that there was never a hippopotamus living in the upstairs of my house.
