Let’s Be Real: Focusing on the Good!

Let’s be real: Christmas break is in a few days and life is going by fast. Take it slow and live your life to the fullest. This can consist of reaching out for better, richer, deeper experiences that truly make life meaningful. Life is short and goes by quickly–enjoy it. High school doesn’t last forever so take it slow–enjoy every moment and all the chances you get–and don’t lose the moment searching for another.

While enjoying these moments, being thankful is important. Being thankful helps you to remember why you’re happy. Especially with midterms coming up, let’s take our time before Christmas break to slow down and enjoy it.

Life can be a roller coaster, full of excitement but with that, also comes fear. There will be hard times, and we have to make the choice to get through it. One quote to remember is “Participate in life instead of just watching it pass you by” by Lindsey Wonderson. Challenges create change, and staying in the same position by letting life just roll over us and living without change doesn’t allow us to truly live to the fullest. All of the challenges you face are all a part of God’s plan so remember that!

With the time we have left this year, find the good in the world and share it with others–this can help us to live meaningfully. Pause, look around you, smile, and focus on being gentle, generous, truthful, kind, and brave. Be with your friends and families and create many memories!
