As we know, one of our Ascension family members has started a new journey in his academic career. Coach Matt has been a huge part of our academic program and especially our sports history at Ascension. He has taught numerous subjects in math, and he has coached football, track and powerlifting at Ascension since 2016.  He led Ascension football in winning the 2A state championship in 2016. He also has been an amazing leader for Ascension in so many years. It was a privilege and an honor to be coached by Coach Matt in football for my freshman and junior year. I personally believe he is one of the best football coaches in the state of Louisiana. He will be widely missed and we wish him luck on his journey and his future endeavors. Thank you, Coach Matt.
