The long-awaited time has come. Sweatpants weather is back and all of Ascension was ecstatic. We can all agree that we were patiently waiting for that email from Dardar saying we can wear Ascension-approved sweatpants. The sweatpants variety available comes from sports teams and gator shack. If you want to get crafty, you could make your own by ironing on the crest to some old sweatpants. Junior Anna Stefanski says, “Personally I don’t like sweatpants because they look funny on me but they are the most comfortable thing to wear to school.” 

While the day goes by, students may have a little panic when the buzzer goes off and hear Mr. Sorrell’s voice saying to check if everyone has the correct sweatpants on. Some students may even have the right pair on but still hesitate when their teacher checks. Unfortunately, these happy days are limited because Louisiana weather has other plans. Junior Catherine Poole says, “Wearing sweatpants to school is pretty much like wearing pj’s pants… very comfy and warm.” Ascension students are very fortunate to be able to have this privilege, thank you, Dardar.
