Senior Spotlight: CC Perry

Name: CC Perry

Grade started: Pre-k 4

Favorite teacher: Mr. Shome

Favorite Ascension memory: Freshman Class trip

Future plans: Go to LSU and major in biology

CC has been at Ascension her whole life and has participated in competition and gameday cheer, Beta, NHS, NEHS, Pro-life club, and POW. She is also an Ascension Ambassador and the yearbook Co-Editor-in-Chief! In her free time, she loves to hang out with her friends, get coffee, go shopping, go on walks or to the gym, and watch TV shows! 

When asked what her favorite thing about Ascension is, she said, “My favorite thing about Ascension is the close community between students and teachers that makes Ascension feel like a family.” She also described herself as optimistic, loving, and compassionate. 

One fun fact she said about herself is that she was born 3 weeks early and during a hurricane! Her advice to younger students is, “To participate and get involved as soon as possible, because you can have a lasting impact on your school.” Lastly, she wanted to remind everyone to be kind always!

Hi guys!! I am Ava Cope, and I am a senior this year. I have been at Ascension for 12 years now, and this is my third year in journalism! I’ve also been on Gator Jazz for five years, and I am the only senior this year. My favorite thing about Ascension is how everyone is so close together and the opportunities it brings. Outside of school, I love to hang out with my friends and dance competitively. I can’t wait to work on the yearbook and create the theme! I’m so excited to see what this year holds!!
