Senior Spotlight: Hope Wood

Favorite teacher: Mr. Lucas

Favorite Ascension memory: Homecoming week of sophomore year

Future plans: Hope is unsure of where she wants to attend college, but she plans to eventually go to law school.

While at Ascension, Hope has been a part of the cheer team, soccer team, SADD club, and NHS. In her free time, she likes to go shopping, spend time with her friends, play the piano, and watch TV. She says that her favorite thing about Ascension is the community. One fun fact about Hope is that her birthday is on Christmas Eve! When asked, Hope’s advice for younger students is to “Be nice to everyone and don’t be afraid to make new friends.”

Hi, my name is Olivia Devey! I am a junior at Ascension, and this is my third year as a Blue Gator. This year, I’m a part of the Spiritual Life team in Leadership, Ascension Ambassadors, Beta, NEHS, and I am the vice president of NHS. Previously, I was president of the Spanish Club and an Ascension Ambassador for two years, and I participated in Gator Jazz my freshman year. Outside of school, I dance at Lafayette Ballet Theatre and perform in their annual ballet of The Nutcracker as well as their spring performances. In my free time I love hanging out with family and friends, watching movies, and laying out by the pool. This is my first year in journalism, and I am so excited to start writing articles!
