A couple of months ago, I was in the airport coming back from Costa Rica. I was exhausted, but getting a text from my friends asking me if I wanted to go to the Weeknd Concert with them woke me up. From the end of June to the middle of August, my friends and I planned our outfits and memorized every song in the setlist.
Before heading into the stadium, my friends and I waited in line to get tour t-shirts! We also got the bracelets that lit up and changed colors with each new song. I was in awe when The Weeknd walked on stage. Fireworks and colorful lights were flashing everywhere. The entire stadium was full, and the crowd was so loud. He tells such a story with all of his songs. It was cool to see all of the emotion he sings with, live. It was my first-ever concert, and I’m glad I got to see Abel’s last tour as “The Weeknd.” My friends and I got so excited when the intro of our favorite songs played, knowing we would scream the whole thing. We sat right in front of the stage and not very high up, so we had the perfect view of him.
Everyone has been asking me how the concert was, but you just had to be there because I can’t even put into words how amazing it was. It was such a cool night, and I don’t know if any other concert will ever compare. It’s funny because I was never a big Weeknd fan until I saw him in person.
