Big Sis Lil Sis is a favorite Ascension tradition that brings together the senior and eighth-grade girls. Each senior is paired up with an eighth grader, and this year, most of them got two seniors. Senior Camryn Landry hosted the reveal this year, which was a pool party! The seniors prepared a small gift for the ochos, as well as a poster. We then revealed who was paired up with whom and started talking and getting to know each other! Two days after, before the Back to School Bash, we got the opportunity to be with our littles again at a pre-party hosted by Ella Grace Hebert. We ate, took pictures, and continued to bond! Big Sis Lil Sis is such a fun tradition to begin the year, and helps the ochos to feel like they have someone to look up to in their first year at the high school. The seniors hope to have more events with our littles throughout the year! Senior Amalie Trahan says, “I felt like it was a very fun experience to allow the eighth graders to get to know people before school starts!” When asking an eighth grader, I asked Searcy Satterfeild, who said, “I love my bigs, and Big Sis Lil Sis made me feel more comfortable about coming to high school.” This event is something that future seniors and eighth graders can look forward to!

CC Perry, staff writer
Hey y’all! My name is CC, and I am a senior this year. This is my third year in journalism, and I’m so excited to continue writing and creating the yearbook. So far at Ascension, I’ve been involved in competition and gameday cheer. My favorite thing about Ascension is how nice all of the students and teachers are. Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends, cheering, and shopping. I’m so excited to be returning to journalism, and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store!!
