Hey guys! Today I’m taking y’all along with me as I paint a birthday banner!! The theme for this banner was “First Bee-day” featuring pastel yellows and bees. The first and most important step in painting the banner is designing it! I created a mock-up in Canva and sent it to my customer for approval before getting started! Once the banner design was set, I rolled out the brown paper, cut it to 5 feet and hung it on my paint wall—-ready to go!!
Next I gathered the paint colors I will be using: light yellow, white, brown, and black! I began by painting the light yellow honey comb in each corner, then painted the words “Rory’s first bee-day” in white and light yellow! After that I added some cute daisies, bees, and a bee hive! The last step is ALWAYS my favorite step, adding little filler details. This part makes the banner look full, balanced, and fun! After about 3 hours of painting I let it dry, rolled it up, tied it up with a bow, and delivered it to my customer! My customer was so happy with the finished product and I was too!
I began my banner painting business, Banners By Bella in the Summer of 2024 and I have been a “busy bee ;)” since I began! I have always had a passion for art and I love using my creativity to bring my customers’ visions to life with the final product!
