Full Name: Grace Mae Sheets
Grade you started at Ascension: Pre-K 4
Favorite Teacher: I have had too many great teachers throughout my time at Ascension so I can’t pick one!
Favorite Ascension Memory: So junior year Katherine Broussard and I were setting up for homecoming and we needed to haul some decorations from the main building using a cart. We thought it would be funny if I rode in the cart and Katherine pushed me, so I hopped in and Katherine and I laughed down the hallway. Everything was going great until we walked by a classroom with an open door and Coach Whitt popped out and scared us. As people who are easily surprised, Katherine and I screamed a little bit and I almost fell out of the cart. We then looked behind Coach Whitt and saw the ENTIRE football team gathered to watch film who had all just witnessed me and Katherine get scared as well as me riding in the cart looking like an idiot. They silently watched us for about ten seconds and then all laughed. I was mortified at the time but now I can laugh at it.
Plans After high school: I plan to major in biochemistry at LSU and go to medical school after.
What is something most people do not know about you? I lived in Japan for my dad’s job from age 2 to 5.
What is something you feel is commonly misunderstood about you? That me and my twin sister Ella are the same person. We actually have pretty different personalities once you get to know us.
What is some advice you would give to the underclassmen? Take advantage of every fun opportunity at school, your high school days fly by!
What is something you would change about Ascension? Nothing, this school is perfect.
Favorite quote: “Deep thinking takes a lot of thought” – Katherine Broussard (because it is so true). And anything said by Coach McCullough and Mr. Anderson, their quotes both teach a lesson and make everyone laugh.
What’s your favorite book or movie of all time? Once again I can’t pick a favorite. There are too many good options.
