For all you ghosts, goblins, and ghouls, October is here! This means our deadline for the annual Halloween Short Story Contest is approaching fast.
We’re looking for students, 8-12, to send in their freaky, scary, or spooky Halloween stories. Please email your stories to Mrs. Tremblay at [email protected] by Tuesday, October 27th at 9:00 am.

Stories are required to be 2-5 pages long, double spaced, and emailed as a PDF for submission. Please make sure you DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME ON THE STORY! Pseudonyms are encouraged (Another student’s name does not count as a pseudonym because it can confuse the judges). The winners will be announced on Friday, October 30th, and the top three stories will be published on The Authored Ascension.

The winners will receive a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble for first place, a $15 iTunes gift card for second, and a $10 gift card to Starbucks for third place. So, consult your inner monster, and get to writing!
